Trust BBC to try and turn Zambia’s attempt at doing universal basic education into an advert for private schools while peddling the same old “but-whose-gonna-pay-for it?!” claptrap.
I have this recurring “memory” of the future and one if its “facts” is that African countries are some of the global leaders in technology and space exploration. I type “memory” because it doesn’t feel like a dream or idea. It comes to me as just a fact I am remembering. It has been recurring since the 1980’s and I have never been able to explain why or where it’s come from.
Anyway, I hope that it is indeed a memory of the future and these steps to expand access to education are the beginnings of that future.
A “memory” of the future is called a prediction.
Nobody can predict the future.
But I do hope you’re right.
