I kind of chalked my win up to that too. I was the new guy in the group, so I had the advantage of none of the other players really wanting to target me. I may or may not have taken full advantage of that and let them wear each other out lol

The one time I played MTG, I used a loaner flying deck. It was 4 person pvp (I don’t know the actual phrases that devoted players use) and I won. It was cool, but I credited it to the prebuilt deck that was handed to me, but I always said that if I do ever get into MTG, it’s going to be a flying deck
You could make a decent wage being a server without tips, but there’s legislation saying that they are going to take your proposed taxes from your paychecks before it even gets to your hand. That’s why you make $3/hr. Because the government said they’re taking their money up front. That’s why I think if you do depend on tips, you shouldn’t have to report them because then it just turns into the government double dipping. Also restaurant owners have full control to give you more pay, but they won’t because it’s cheaper for them to depend on customers to pay what they don’t want to
