It’s either that or texasographer
Don’t make me feel some kind of way.
Oh, I wasn’t taking it any kind of bad way! I was just adding context that yeah, we’ve got funny user names, but I also genuinely think the fartographer is a pretty cool human in general.
I think the fartographer is a neat person. We’ve discussed Texas stuff and checked on each other during the hurricane. When I get the opportunity it’s always a nice conversation. That’s the closest thing I have to a friend on Lemmy.
So it’s definitely a good day for me.
I had to go look back at who posted this comment (I don’t usually look) and I knew it was going to be you.
I’ve taken my special needs nephews there and it’s amazing. They both loved the Ferris wheel so I had to ride it what felt like a hundred times. Even the regular ticket prices are really good for the quality of the place.
Thirded. And even when I got control, I had a better time in my late 30s than I did at any time prior to that. I had a lot of absolutely great misadventures in my 20s and I’ll be forever grateful. But in my late 30s I had the wisdom to know what bullshit I could get into and out of, enough money to do it, a body that wasn’t beat to hell just yet, and very few shits to give.
Things started to even out at 40 and have been pretty steady the last couple of years. It’s amazing in a different way.
I can’t speak for anyone else, but if I were giving advice to 15 year old me I would definitely say that the best is yet to come. Just gotta keep your eyes peeled for the opportunity.
I’ll give you a nickel if you say it out loud.
The day I realized that we don’t even know how to treat each other was a wild day for me. My friend group has been complimenting and building up each other for a while now. It’s amazing the change you’ll see just by having one dude say to another, “Hey, nice shirt my guy!” or something similar.
We opened for a national band tonight so a bunch of my friends were there. After having done this for a few years then reading this thread, I’m amazed to see just how much positive masculinity we had going on. There were compliments, talking up guys to others outside of just being a wingman (there was at least one case of being a wingman, too), lots of bro hugs, and a lot of genuinely happy guys.
It’s a hard thing to get going, but I’m glad we started doing it.
But they’re much nicer about it.
I turned down politeness all the way and watched it become Dallas traffic almost immediately.
Ethically sourced human? Same. Sign me the fuck up. Not for a subscription or anything, but I really want to try it.
Well it depends on how you like your jellybeans with it.
Just so you’re aware, it’s milquetoast.
I agree with everything you say.
Well you won. I’m headed in to work tomorrow to get started on marketing it to the C suite using this.
I’m suddenly interested in the story of how you got lost on your way to your anus.
It’s nice to know the shit I got made fun of for years ago is now high fashion.
Moccasins ain’t nothing to mess around with. I assume she’s alright and living elsewhere now? Over here we have most of the stuff from southern Louisiana that will kill you plus scorpions and a bunch of other crap.
Appreciate the info. I figured you’d know SA better than I do.
Have you been to Texas? There are trash monsters everywhere around here!
I talk shit, but I would absolutely have a firearm some places when taking out the trash. We’ve got a crazy feral hog problem some places. I’ve been trapped in a building by them. A friend got charged heading to his car by a pack of them. Another friend had his driver’s side door fucked up by one while stopped at a stop sign. They will absolutely fuck you up.
Of course none of this was in San Antonio, it was all in rural Texas. I have no idea whether they’re out there causing havoc.
@thefartographer@lemm.ee care to weigh in? How bad is it out there?
Usually, but sometimes it’s a woman in a pond.
I don’t know why but I read that in J. Jonah Jameson’s voice.
